AISI 8630
Description:
AISI 8360 is a low alloy steel containing nominally 0.3% C, 0.5% Cr, 0.2% Mo and 0.5% Ni. Higher strength levels can be achieved by suitable heat treatment. Alloy Steel 8630, also known as AISI 8630, is a low alloy that is unique due to its levels of chromium and molybdenum.
8630 offers users good mechanical properties, as well as weldability by most common methods. This popular alloy works well with hot forging and rolling, in addition to annealing. 8630 is utilized for various critical structural parts.
Typical Applications:
Gears, Ring Gears, Shafts and Crankshafts, Connectors, Hangers, and Block valves for the oil industry.
Form of supply:
Material can be supplied, Black As-Rolled or Forged Bar, Proof Machined, Bright Turned or Ground Bar, Cut Pieces or Machined to customer specification.
